About Us

Who We Are A little about us

Found on the main street of beautiful Bashaw Alberta, inside what was once Whitebrush School (est.1907), attached to historic St. Peter’s Anglican church (built in 1913), is where you will find Meeting Place Coffee Roasters.
In keeping with the theme of what a school and a church represented then and now, is why we chose the name Meeting Place Coffee Roasters.
We felt that Meeting Place was to be exactly that. A place where people come to meet, share stories, catch up with each other and even make new friends, and of course to enjoy freshly roasted and brewed coffee.
Being able to roast coffee beans on site is a real treat for us and hopefully our customers. This way we know where our coffee beans are coming from and exactly what our customers are getting. We are also able to grind your coffee beans to your specifications. Need a special roast? We can accommodate.
Our Commitment
Mission Statement
At Meeting Place we selected organic, ethically grown, fair trade coffee. This way we are supporting coffee growers fairly and supporting their communities and families.
In the same respect, it is important to us to do that here as well. When possible we will buy locally so we can support our community and have fresh local food and baked goods. Our food is made in our facility using, some organic ingredients when possible, and always butter, never margarine.
It is important to us to make sure we leave a good footprint so all our disposables are compostable including our coffee bags,
once you remove the tin tie and plastic valve. You can check out tekpaksolutions.com for more information.
How We Operate Our work ethics

Meeting Place is a counter service coffee shop. When you come in you place your order according to what we have on display and we serve you from the counter. We make a certain amount of food each day and usually once the food is gone it is gone until next day. This way we keep it fresh.
Each day a soup is prepared, as well as sandwiches and baked goods. Also served are specialty coffees and hand made cold drinks and of course our coffee selection of the day. If you are looking for something gluten free, we have a sandwich option which is made to order and we try to keep the soup gluten friendly too.
Don’t forget our freshly roasted coffee beans. If you would like a certain roast of coffee please contact us. Usually in stock is a Columbian and Guatemalan dark, medium, and tri bean roast.
